  • Where do you get your hazelnuts?

    Our premium variety comes from the Black Sea Coast of Turkey where more than 70% of the world’s hazelnuts are grown. And, while we are filling you up with cool nut facts…here’s another one—hazelnut cultivation in Turkey dates back more than 2000 years. What were you doing 2000 years ago?

  • How are hazelnuts good for you?

    You bet they are. Hazelnuts are loaded with healthy fats, are rich in Vitamin E and Magnesium, and are a great source of protein. They are both nutritious and delicious. It’s no wonder everyone goes nuts for hazelnuts.

  • Why haven’t I heard of hazelnut butter or milk before?

    Excellent question. Turning the average hazelnut into a delicious butter or milk is not as easy as it might seem. It all comes down to the variety. Many hazelnut varieties are small and difficult to blanch creating a product that lacks richness and tastes bitter. Nobody wants that. But our uniquely chunky hazelnuts are different. They are loaded with healthy fats and easily shed their skin. This is why Hazelicious butters and milks are so rich and delicious.

  • Are your milks processed in a facility where other allergens are present?

    Yes, our milks are processed in a facility that also processes other tree nuts and dairy milk. 

  • Why don’t you add calcium or vitamins like other plant-based milks?

    We understand that people are looking to have a more balanced diet…and we support that effort. But when it comes to Hazelicious, we want to provide you with the purest of hazelnut experiences.

  • Do you use any natural or artificial flavors? What about preservatives?

    Never. Ever. Ever. Hazelicious milks are free from preservatives and any added flavors. We don’t need them and neither do you.

  • Can I freeze my milk?

    Freezing will lead to separation and changes in flavor. We don’t recommend it.

  • Do I need to refrigerate my milk?

    Once opened, Hazelicious milks should be refrigerated. Unopened cartons can be stored in your pantry or anywhere else that remains near room temperature.

  • How long do the milks stay good?

    Unopened cartons can be stored in your pantry for up to one year. Opened cartons require refrigeration and are good for 7 to 10 days.

  • Can I use the milk to bake or cook?

    Definitely. You can substitute our milks for dairy milk in any recipe. We’re getting hungry just thinking about it.

  • Does it foam or will it separate in my coffee?

    Our rich and creamy milks are perfect for foaming and don’t separate in coffee or other hot beverages. 

  • What makes Hazelicious milks different from other plant-based milks?

    Because of our chunky hazelnuts, Hazelicious milks are rich and creamy. Many nuts—whether almond, pistachio, or even regular hazelnuts—have less fat and create milks that are thin and watery. And unlike oat milk, our milks contain no added oils, no preservatives, and have only 2 grams of carbs per serving (6 grams for our lightly sweetened style). Pretty cool.

  • Are your jars and cartons BPA free?

    Yes, all of our jars and cartons are BPA free. It’s true the best things in life are free.

  • Why do you use plastic for your jars? What about glass?

    Great questions. While we love glass, the truth is glass is much heavier than plastic and requires significantly more energy to produce and transport. It’s also susceptible to breakage which can lead to significant product waste.
  • Is your packaging recyclable?

    Absolutely. Our PET jars and our Tetra Pak cartons are fully recyclable. 

  • Why do you work with small family farms?

    We believe in the power of small family farms to create a more sustainable world. Currently, Turkey is home to more than 400,000 farms that grow 70% of the world’s hazelnuts. These small family farms are the backbone of the local communities. Unfortunately, they face significant financial pressure to sell their groves to multinational corporations. Through our suppliers, we work to make sure that families are fairly compensated for their crops and that small farms can continue to thrive.

  • How are hazelnuts good for the environment?

    You bet. Hazelnut farming is a great example of sustainable agriculture. Not only are our hazelnuts sourced from dry farms that use no water, they also thrive in harsh soils where other plants would fail. And, because of their deep roots, hazelnut trees can survive droughts and help prevent soil erosion.

  • Can I cancel my one-time order?

    Unfortunately, once an order is confirmed, it cannot be canceled as our fulfilment process begins immediately.
