In a region that sees more than 300 days of rain per year, our hazelnut groves require nothing else—compare that to the 600 gallons of groundwater needed to produce a pound of almonds or 400 gallons for a pound of pistachios—in drought-stricken California.
Picked by mostly local women, our premium hazelnuts grow on small family farms on the Black Sea coast of Turkey. They hold a tradition and the entire hazelnut industry in their hands.
